In the second issue of Parcelle99 Yoko Ota-Sawyer writes about the coup de foudre between champagne and food analyzing less known aspects of pairings, Daniel Romano examines vintage 2018 (he calls it annus mirabilis), so special it will be remembered for a long time. Fabrizio Pagliardi reflects on pinot meunier, often greatly overlooked among Champagne vine varieties, together with the tasting notes of a few cuvées and Daniela Paris shares her old love for the Coteaux Champenois.
We’re very glad for the article wrote by A la volé, a group of four crazy Spanish guys (that’s how the call themselves) who made a nice documentary on revolution and evolution in Champagne.
Finally, our two articles, one on Le Printemps des Champagnes 2019, with the report of the last edition of the spring fairs in Champagne and some other wines we recently sampled, the other on Maison Fleury’s 30 years of biodynamics, celebrated in Courteron with them and some delicious bottles that dispel the myth that biodynamic champagne doesn’t age.
